Part-time World Language Instructor
ILLTC is seeking Japanese, Spanish, English and Bengali teachers.
Teaching Team Specialities:
- Higher Level Diploma (DELF) qualified French Teacher
- France Education international (FEI) Certified Examiner
- HSK Qualified and experienced Chinese Teacher
- Integrated Arabic Curriculum (For non-Arabic Speakers) based Teacher
- Native Bengali Teacher
- Teaching Experiences in the International Schools
- Teaching Experiences at Alliance Française
- CAVILAM certified French Teachers
- Translator (French to English, French to Bengali, English to Bengali, Bengali to English, Arabic to English/Bengali)
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, relevant experience, or certification
- One-year teaching experience (learner-centered teaching a plus)
- Online teaching experience preferred, but not required
- Fluency in target language. Native speakers preferred, but not required.
Primary Responsibilities
- Learner-centered teaching focusing on lessons that get students speaking and using the language.
- Maintenance of class files (progress reports, attendance, evaluations)
- Participate in professional development workshops at least twice a year. These are held on the 3rd Friday of every month from 1-3pm.
General Duties
- Attend meetings and participate in and show commitment to ILLTC activities, events, and committees
- Be well-informed and prepared for meetings
- Contribute skills, knowledge, and experience
- Listen respectfully to other viewpoints
- Assume leadership roles in ILLTC activities
- Advocate for and represent ILLTC to the public, businesses, and government entities
- Educate yourself about the needs of the people ILLTC serves
Time Commitment
- Attend regularly scheduled meeting (monthly meetings/calls)
- Attend and participate in ILLTC special events
